major
growth
of
Indonesian
capital
market;
such
growth
can
be
seen from how many
companies
were publicly
listed
in the stock
exchange.
Based
on
the
Badan
Pengawas
Pasar
Modal
(BAPEPAM)
Statistics,
the
growth
of IPO
in
Indonesia
has
been
tremendous;
there were
only
347
publicly
listed
companies
at
the
end
of
the
year
2000
with
a
total
value
of
Rp.
225,698.5
billion.
Almost
a
decade
later, end of year 2010, there were 520 publicly
listed
companies with a total
value
of
Rp. 490,013.47
billion.
The total
value
of the IPO has increased
more
than
100%
in
10 years of time.
