The hierarchy starts from the root server where it handles all the Top Level Domains
(TLD) such as .com, .net, .org as well as country code Top Level Domains (ccTLD) such
as
.id,
.au,
and
so
on.
Root
servers
do
not
necessarily
holds
information
of
all
possible
domain
names,
instead
it
knows
where
to
reach
other
DNS
servers.
