In general, the reader can increase their knowledge about the application of
quantitative methods, especially
Forecasting and Inventory Models in real business
practice.
Scopes in this research are limited only to the market’s demands, the cost of
inventory, cost of ordering, and other data needed for using forecasting model and
EOQ method in PT Indosiak Permai. This research will focus on minimizing the cost
of inventory of three main
materials needed for all of mattresses produced
in the
factory which are wire, comfort layer (quilt fabric), and sponges.
The mattresses
divide into two types, which are spring mattress and sponge mattress.
