9
activities
in
the
above business process will
have a
direct
impact
to
overall amount
receivables outstanding.
The
finance
system
that
generates receivables
aging
doesnt
take
delayed
process activities
into the account. Receivables aging are calculated based on the time
invoices are printed. For example, if an
invoice created a
month after shipment being
delivered, the aging calculation will be based on the late
invoice date.
There are on
average
five
percent
of
amount
outstanding has
been
due
for
more
than
90
days.
However,
considering
how
the
system
calculates
the
aging,
it
is
predicted
that
the
percentage
will
be
much
higher.
Thus,
it became the
will
of
the
management
to
have
a
more detail
information of
the business process
in order to
understand the effects to
the
companys
cash
flow.
The
management
worries
if
the
current
business
process
will
indirectly
affect
the
service
performance
to
its
customers
and
eventually
will
affect the companys overall performance.
1.4 Objectives
In
order
to
create
a
better
service
for
customers, the
whole
business process
needs
to
be
improved.
A
series
of
research
and
studies
will
be
applied
to
examine
each
layer
of
the
process to
find
if
theres
any
bottle
neck
that
would
affect
the
companys cash
flow as well as affect the quality of service to customers.
The goal
is
to propose a more effective and efficient business process to PT Agility International.
