Pengertian Sistem
Berdasarkan
pendapat O’Brien (2005, p29), “System
is
a
group
of
interrelated
components
working
toward the
attainment
of
a
common
goal
by
accepting
inputs
and
producing
outputs
in
an
organized
transformation
process.”
Berdasarkan pendapat McLeod, Jr. (2004, p9),”The physical system of the
firm
is an
open
system,
interacting with its
environment
by
means
of
physical
resource flows. An information system is also an open system. A closed system is
one that does not communicate with its environment. A truly closed system would
not interact with customers or managers or anyone else, and is not of interest to
developers and users of information system.”

A.
Hall, definisi
sistem adalah “A group of
two
or
more
interrelated
component
or
subsystem
that
serve
of
common
purpose.”
Dari definisi di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem adalah seperangkat
bagian–bagian yang saling berhubungan erat satu dengan lainnya untuk
mencapai
tujuan bersama-sama dan sistem dikatakan tertutup
apabila tidak
terjadi interaksi antara customer atau manager atau siapapun juga.
2.1.1.2 Pengertian Informasi
Menurut Jogiyanto Hartono (2005, p8), ”Informasi adalah data
yang telah
diolah menjadi untuk yang lebih berguna dan lebih berarti bagi yang
menerimanya.”
Berdasarkan pendapat Mc.Leod, Jr (2004, p10),”Information is processed
data that is meaningful; it usually tells the user something that she or he did not
already know.”
