Menurut O'Brien dan Marakas (2013: 6), “information system (IS) can
be any organized combination of people, hardware, software,
communications networks, data resources, and policies and procedures that
stores, retrieves, transforms, and disseminates
information in an
organization”.
Menurut
Hall (2013: 5),
“Information system is the set of formal
procedures by which data are collected, stored, processed into information,
and distributed to users”.
Maka penulis mendefinisikan sistem informasi menurut pengertian
diatas adalah serangkaian aktivitas kegiatan terintegrasi dari input, proses
sampai output untuk mengolah data hingga menjadi nilai untuk
