develop concept of the database so that we can interpret the
relationship between each entities in the database. While making
the
data
model,
it
is natural
to
have
more
than
one
data
model
while creating the database concepts because each model has
different
interpretation.
2.1.2.1.2 Flat Model
This model is the basis of spreadsheet. In this model we create a
single,
two-dimensional array of data attributes.
In
this
model
all
the values in the column are assumed to have same types, and the
rows are related to each other.
2.1.2.1.3 Hierarchy Model
Hierarchical
model
is
a
database
model
that
organizes
the
data
into a tree- like structure.
The
hierarchical
model
is based on the
“parent”- “child”
principle,
where
“parent”
may
have
many
“child” but not in reverse. If this principle is violated, this
Hierarchical model is commonly used in developing a data
structure.
