Tarakanita
mission
is, therefore,
to
educate young generations
in all
levels,
both
academically and
non-academically. It
is
by
this
mission
that
Tarakanita
administers
nurseries,
play
groups,
kindergartens,
elementary
schools,
junior high schools, and senior high schools.
II.5 Activities as an Education Institution
Managing
the
schools
here
is
more
complicated
than
managing
a
small
foundation
with
a
single
school
complex
consisting
only
one
Kindergarten, one
Elementary
School,
one
Junior
High
School
and
one
Senior
High
School.
Conventionally,
the main activities
in Tarakanita,
from
SUs, district
office,
to the
Head office, comprises the following aspects:
Curriculum,
Teaching and Learning (Curriculum
&TL)
All
schools
under
Tarakanita
Foundation
are
national
schools.
Accordingly,
the curriculum applied
is the one under the National
Education
Department
of
the Republic
of
Indonesia.
The
curriculum
guidelines
are
provided
and each school is
expected to
breakdown the
guidelines into the
syllabi, the
annual as well as semester
programs,
lesson plans and modules.
In developing
the
curriculum
documents,
Tarakanita
has
tried
to
integrate
the core
values
of
Tarakanita
into the curriculum content.
