2.1.6  Technology Acceptance Model
Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was originally based on Fishbein and Ajzen’s 
attitude paradigm (Davis F. D., 1993), in hopes to explain and predict users’ 
motivation that leads to the acceptance of a particular technology (Davis, 1989). The 
theory of TAM itself is an extension from the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) by 
Fishbein and Ajzen (Fishbein & Ajzen, 1975). The original TAM differs from TRA 
as subjective norm is excluded as factor in the technology acceptance model. 
Davis distinguishes three important factors in TAM which are: Perceived Ease-of-
Use is defined as “the degree to which a person believes that using a particular 
system would be free of effort” meaning easy to use (Davis, 1989). Perceived 
Usefulness is defined as “the degree to which a person believes that using a 
particular system would enhance his or her job performance” (Davis, 1989). These
