2.2.1.3 Comprehensive Process Definition
A
process
is
a
set
of
activities
that
transforms
inputs
to
outputs
On the other hand, a business process is a network of connected activities
and buffers
with well defined boundaries and precedence relationships as
illustrated
in Figure 2.3. After that,
it utilizes resources to transform
inputs
into outputs
with the purpose of satisfying customer requirements.
Additionally,
there
are
two
main
methods
for
processing
jobs
in
BPM
(Business Process Modeling) such as:

Discrete
It
is
used
for
i
dentifiable
products
or
services.
For
example:
cars, cell phones, and clothes.

Continuous
It
is
used
for
products
and
services
not
in
identifiable
distinct
units such as gasoline, electricity, and paper.
