TL

poem; The
Coming
of The Ship,
The
Children,
and
The
Farewell, compiled in

Scope
and
limitation
The
analysis
of
translation
shift
will
be
limited
to
paraphrasing
the
poems
in
the
SL,
analyzing
the
semantic
element
and
analyzing
the
translation
shift
between
SL
and
TL

Goal
The
goal
of
this
thesis
is
to
conclude
how
the
translation
shift
in
the
TL
produces
a
good
translation like
Sang
Nabi;
a
translation of
Khalil Gibran's The
Prophet

Research Methods
The
writer
is
looking
for
some
material
which
relate
to
all
aspect
in
translating
poetry,
literature
and
linguistic_
Therefore
the
writer
will
conduct
library
research
and
to
fulfill
that she
will
go
to
BINUS
library, and
INDONESIAN
UNIVERSITY
library_
She
will
use
some
data
from
the
internet
too_
Lastly,
the
writer
will
sum
up
the
whole
meaning of
each
poem based
on
the
semantic and
translation shift
analysis_
