2.1.3.2 Activity Diagram
Menurut Jones & Rama (2006, p60), “Activity diagram plays the role of a
map in understanding business processes
by showing the sequence of activities
the process”.
Menurut Whitten (2004, p442), “Activity diagram are used to graphically
depict the sequential flow of activities of either a business process or a use case.
They also can be used to model actions that will be performed when an operation
is executing, as well as the results of those actions.”
Berdasarkan definisi
diatas,
maka
dapat
disimpulkan
bahwa activity
diagram
adalah
sebuah
grafik
yang
digunakan
untuk
menggambarkan
sebuah
alur
aktivitas
untuk
memahami suatu
proses
bisnis
atau
use
case dengan
cara
menunjukkan bagian–bagian dari proses aktivitas dalam suatu operasi.
Menurut
Jones
&
Rama
(2006,
p61),
Activity
Diagram
terdiri
atas
2
(dua)
tipe,
yaitu:
1. Overview Activity Diagram
“Overview activity diagram presents a high-level view of the business
process by documenting the key events, the sequence of these event, and
the information flows among these events”.
Langkah
-
Langkah
dalam menyiapkan
overview
activity diagram
terdapat sebagai berikut:
a. Read the narrative and identify key events. Use the guidelines
in chapter 2 to identify event.
b. Annotate
the
narrative
to
clearly
show
event
boundaries
and
event names.
c. Represent
agents
participating
in
the
business
process
using
swimlanes.
d. Diagram each event. Show the sequence of these events.
e. Draw
documents
created
and
used
in
the
business
process.
Show
the
flow
of
information
from
events
to
documents,
and
vice versa.
