hostages for the counter-terrorist and the hostage assassination for terrorists still
available to play which let past users from the original Counter Strike game play
with old game mode in the new way to play which is MMO style. Other game modes
are also available for players and some of them are unique from other competitors
which is an advantage for CSO (CSO, 2014), CSO also give users more character
than from the old CS additional of 8 characters from both terrorists side and counter-
terrorists side and female characters are now available where old CS only have 4
with only male characters for each side (CSO, 2014).
To make the game more interesting CSO also provide “Zombie Mode” where for the
first time and no other competitors have this type of game mode where for the fir st
time Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists side with each other to fight against zombies.
The game will choose randomly a player to be infected and become the main zombie
the objective of the zombie player is to infect all other player to become zombies by
attacking them. The zombies type also differs each type have their own special skills
(CSO, 2014). The objective of the rest of the players is to stay uninfected for a period
of time or annihilate all other zombie players (CSO, 2014).
2.1.4 Previous Study
Several studies studying motivation towards the acceptance of online games have
previously done by several researcher using different method and variables to
measure and illustrate a better understanding of how consumers are motivated by
different factors that are crucial to how consumers accept a particular online game.
