each mode has different game objectives. One of the unique game modes that other
online FPS competitors in Indonesia do not have is “Ghost Mode”. In “Ghost Mode”
one team which act like ghost can only use knife as their weapon but their advantage
is that their invisible to the opposing team their mission is to eliminate all players
from the opposing team or detonate their C4 on side a or b of the opposing team, to
create a fair game the opposing team are capable to use any weapon they want and
they can detect the ghost player by the sound of footsteps, breath sound and from the
water splash when stepped on. This mode creates trilling moment for the normal
players as the game feels like a person is stalking and out of nowher e someone stabs
the normal player (CrossFire, 2014).
Cross Fire online FPS game also comes with tournament events. One of the biggest
events of Cross Fire is “CFCB”, Cross Fire City Battle which is a city wide battle for
20 cities all over Indonesia with champions on each city will get a total of Rp300
Million spread. This year’s event ends at Jakarta, Bandung, Depok, Tangerang and
Bekasi at 26th April 2014 (CrossFire, 2014).
2.1.3.3 Counter Strike Online
Counter Strike Online game is based on the previous ver y famous Multiplayer FPS
Counter Strike which is established in 1999 by “Valve” now collaboration with
“Nexon” a game developer in Korea to make a new breed of MMOFPS released in
Indonesia on July 2011.
