Another past study was done by Tabi Polson for Masters dissertation. The focus of
the dissertation is to gain a better understanding for what gamers expect, wants, and
needs in a first-person-shooter games. Endeavoring whether there is some sort of
magic formula to which create a desirable fps game for consumers. The research
uses a qualitative method of utilizing Facebook as platform for the discussion of how
they are motivated to play and how they accept fps game. Results from the
discussion conclude that good graphics is the driving force of video games in context
of online fps respondent says that realistic aiming feel need good graphics but what
makes the game is not only good graphics but a good balance with other components
such as plots, realistic and immersive environment. Respondent expectations of a
good fps game were that graphic should be clear, consistent. Another respondent
opinion not all games need good graphics such when cartoony games should need
cartoony graphics and as more serious the game better graphic adds to the sense of
immersion. In the context of online game critical mass plays an important role in the
adoption as participant suggest that even the most epic campaign with great storyline
will get boring after few times playing the game without multiplayer or people to
play, interact and collaborate with. Multiplayer component is crucial in fps game.
The discussion also not only expresses positive attitude as some have disappointment
in fps game. One of the disappointments is the usability where user play fps game
where graphic looks great, storyline was good and gameplay have good level of
challenge but the disappointment came when user try to control the in game character
and have a hard time to actually hit a target. (Polson, 2011). Result from the
knowledge from this dissertation brings perceived ease-of-use in TAM as an
important determinant that motivates users to fps game as player are discourage
