Chapter 5
Conclusion
5.1 Marketing implications
Nowadays, developers were building
more and
more shopping
malls. It
was obvious that
the
competition
is
intense
in
this
industry.
The
management
of
shopping
malls
must
identify
the
needs and want of their targeted customers to
maintain
the existence of their
company.
The
result
of
my
study,
as
a
continuation of
previous
research
done
in
Malaysia,  has  provide
information  about  the
pattern  of  shopping
malls  consumer
behavior in Indonesia.
The
finding
should
be
beneficial to
the
retailing
industry
and
mall
management
especially. People
in
Jakarta
not
only
went
to
malls to
shop,
but
to
experience
new
and
interesting things.
Mall
managements were
to
provide
the
service
necessary
for
visitors
to fulfill their demand of recreational hunt, entertainment, meeting friends, or just simply
browsing around, and so on.
Developers
must
realize
that
mall
has
grown
from
just
a
place
to buy
products.
Malls
that
provide
exciting service
and
stores
with
new
and
high
quality
product,
as
well
as
great convenience, will attract more consumers to visit their malls.
