Scope
and
Limitation
In
this
paper,
the
writer
wants
to
analyze
20
word
pairs
of
two
syllables
of
noun
and
verb based on
its pronunciation
and
word
stress.
In
conducting
her
research, the
writer
limits
her
analysis only
to
30
students
from 06PAG,
06PCG
and
06PDG.
There
are
21
girls
and
9
boys.
They
are
6th
semester
students
of
Bina Nusantara
University.
The reason of taking
them
as the
writer's
respondents
is
because
they
have already
learned
speaking

-

and
also
Phonology
subject.

Goal
and
Function
In
writing
this
paper,
the
writer's
aims
are to
know
the
percentage
of
correct
pronunciation
and
word
stress
made
by
6th
semester
students
in
two
syllable
word
pairs
of
noun
and
verb
and
also
to find
out
the
mistakes
of pronunciation and
word
stress.
Furthermore,
the
function
of
this
paper
are
to
boost
the
students to
be
aware
of
pronunciation
and word stress while
they are
speaking,
and also
as
a knowledge
for
English
learners
who
want
to .know
more
about
how
to
pronounce
and
put
stress
in
word
pairs
oftwo syllables
of
noun
and
verb.

Research
Methods
In
conducting
this
research,
the
writer
creates
a
test
in
which
pronunciation
and
word
stress
are
analyzed
from
the
word
pairs
of
noun
and
verb.
This
test
has
20
numbers
of
sentences
in
pairs.
The
writer
chooses
the
word
pairs
that
are
same
in
written
or
called
as
homograph. To
get
the
data,
the
writer
uses
a
recorder.
The
data
is
analyzed one
by
one
to
find
out
the
mistakes.
