Menurut Ismanthono (2003, p.27), impor adalah arus masuk dari sejumlah
barang dan jasa ke dalam pasar sebuah Negara, baik
untuk keperluan konsumsi ataupun
sebagai barang modal, atau bahan baku produksi dalam negeri.
a. Eksportir dan Importir
Menurut Prishardoyo et. al (1999, p.65), eksportir adalah pedagang yang menjual
barang atau jasa ke luar negeri. Sedangkan, Importir adalah pedagang
yang
membeli
barang atau jasa dari luar negeri dan menjualnya kembali ke konsumen dalam negeri.
