Figure 2 Local Area Network
2.1.3 Data Communication and Transmission
In
the
network,
large
amount
of
data
is
widely
and
rapidly
transmitted and
exchanged between
hosts
and/or servers.
Data
is
essentially entities conveying
meaning
and
containing particular
bits
or
numerical form.
Data
that
has
been
parsed
in
TCP
protocol
is
usually
referred
to
as
packet
or
segment.
Packets
are
added
with
multiple
headers that contains control
information. Data communication takes very
important role
in
dealing
with
exchanging
data
and
information
between
sources
and
destinations
by
transmitting signals
through
the
transmission
system
in
network.
A
model
of
communications can show
how data
is exchanged. There are key elements of the
model,
which
are
the
source,
transmitter, transmission system,
receiver,
and
destination.
Each
element
has
important
roles
and
they
are
dependent each
other
to
make
the
data
communication successful.
