How Do I…?

  1. SEARCH BY OPAC

The Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is the online catalogue of library materials, with titles, authors, publications and physical descriptions. Those who wish to access the library collections may use the OPAC in the library and through the LKC homepage (http://library.binus.ac.id). The OPAC allow you to search the library materials either by basic keyword search or by advanced search. You can also refine your search results by the type of materials you wish to search in particular, such as by material type, author, or title, or other parameters.

  2. SEARCH TYPES
    • Keyword Search
Keyword search will locate any record which contains the words you entered in the search box. This usually applies when you are unsure of the material you want to find. You may also define the fields which the catalog searches (such as, title, author, publisher, etc.) for better results.
    • Advanced Search
If there are items shown in the keywords that you have entered, the AND or NOT connector will help you to confine your search results. You may also categorize the items before you can search so that you will be directed to the type of materials you are looking for.

  3. TYPES OF LIBRARY COLLECTIONS
    • BOOKS
    • E-BOOKS
    • E-JOURNALS
    • E-THESES

  4. LOCATE THE MATERIALS ON THE SHELF
