Menurut Smit (2012:261-263) Terdapat pengkalsifikasian stakeholders
dalam penyelenggaraan event, yaitu diantaranya:
a) Primary Stakeholders (Stakeholder Utama)
These stakeholders have a formal or official
relationship with the event and are important and
influential. For instance, the event owners will be
primary stakeholders, as they have a vested
interest in the event, either through financial ties
or through owning the event. The event
employees will also be primary stakeholders.
Employees from the most important internal
stakeholder group. The reason is simple; they
have first-hand knowledge of the event. They must
receive constant communication relating to the
event.
Dari pernyataan tersebut dapat diartikan sebagai
berikut: setiap stakeholder memiliki hubungan yang
resmi dengan acara tersebut, penting dan berpengaruh.
Contohnya, pemilik acara menjadi
pemangku
kepentingan utama, karena mereka memiliki
kepentingan dalam acara tersebut. Karyawan juga
merupakan pemangku kepentingan yang utama, karena
mereka memiliki pengetahuan dari acara tersebut.
Sehingga perlu adanya komunikasi yang konstan yang
berkaitan dengan acara.
b) Secondary Stakeholders (Stakeholder Menengah)
Secondary stakeholders could
be either
important or influential. They could be
important to an event because they provide a
service, for instance, the photographer or the
entertainers; or they could be influential, such
as the media, who have an impact because of
what is published.
